Job summary

Apex Envirotech, Inc. in the Sacramento area is seeking a Staff Geologist to join our environmental consulting team. You will work closely with project managers on a variety of environmental projects and provide field and reporting support.

The role demands a degree in geology or related field, up to 3 years of experience, and strong communication and organizational skills. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including health, retirement, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, engineering or science-related field.
• 0-3 years of environmental geology experience.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks and project assignments on environmental assessments, hydrogeological studies, subsurface investigations and remedial designs.
• Field work including soil and groundwater sample collection and preparation for laboratory analysis.
• Prepare soil boring logs, well construction diagrams, maps, cross sections and site reports.
• Collaborate with project management and field staff.
• Laboratory and hydrogeologic data management.
