Job summary

SR 400 Constructors seeks an Environmental Foreman to oversee environmental protection on construction sites, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices while minimizing environmental impact. You will coordinate field activities, inspect facilities, supervise sampling and monitoring, and provide technical guidance to the crew.

Candidates should have experience in environmental quality work and be able to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

Position Summary/Objective

The Environmental Foreman in construction oversees and coordinates activities related to environmental protection and compliance on construction sites. They ensure that construction projects adhere to environmental regulations and best practices, minimizing the impact on the surrounding environment.

Principal/Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Minimum 3 years of experience performing environmental quality work in field/office setting preferred
• Provide technical guidance to other personnel.
• Maintain clean work areas
• Detailed knowledge of Construction and Facilities
• Knowledge and experience with water / wastewater systems a plus
• Monitor processes for compliance with standards
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Inspect facilities or sites to determine if they meet specifications or standards
• Prepare detailed work plans
• Evaluate designs or specifications to ensure quality
• Investigate the environmental impact of projects
• Excellent organizational and data management skills
• Collect and analyze pollution samples, such as air or ground waters
• Monitoring/Assessing performance to make improvements or take corrective action.

Qualifications

Required

• Must be 18 years in age or older.
• Must pass drug screen.
• Strongly prefer candidates with High School Diploma
• Must be able to communicate with others to convey information effectively.
• Must be accustomed to working outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions
• Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
