Job summary

Weaver Consultants Group is seeking a field environmental technician to monitor landfill site activities, collect soil and water samples, and perform on-site testing. This role requires travel and outdoor work, with data reporting to project managers and strict adherence to safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and possibly an associates in geology, environmental science, or engineering, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Field sampling and data collection for environmental projects.
• Ability to travel out of town up to 50% of time and work outdoors.
• Basic report writing and data presentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document construction activities at landfill sites.
• Perform field and/or laboratory testing (soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, steel).
• Prepare data and observations in written and digital reports for project managers.
• Ensure safety standards and site safety practices are followed.
• Communicate with project team and client representatives regarding requirements and results.
• Maintain equipment and assist with field sampling schedules.
