Roux Associates Inc is seeking an Environmental Technician to perform field tasks at project sites in the San Francisco Bay Area, primarily in Oakland, CA. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining remediation systems, sampling environmental media, and supporting project teams to meet timelines and budgets.

The role requires a positive, team-oriented attitude, strong mechanical skills, and knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental field tasks and sampling preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to fieldwork.
• Ability to perform outdoor field tasks in varying terrain.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site remediation system operations and maintenance.
• Inspect equipment to evaluate performance and identify malfunctions.
• Maintain system components for proper operation and compliance.
• Collect samples from monitoring wells, recovery wells, stormwater, soil and soil gas.
• Record and evaluate system performance data.
• Oversee subcontractors involved in remediation and repairs.
