Job summary

Onterris Payroll, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician for our Tampa, FL office. The role involves operating field monitoring equipment, collecting samples, and documenting results while ensuring proper safety and regulatory compliance.

You will perform O&M on environmental treatment systems, manage sample labeling, and communicate site conditions to Project Managers. Travel is required; a valid driver’s license and HAZWOPER certification are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of environmental collection, monitoring, sampling, testing and basic evaluation.
• 2+ years of remediation system O&M experience with electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
• 2+ years in Florida DEP PRP or equivalent regulatory environment.
• Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability/willingness to travel.
• HAZWOPER certification with 40-hour course and 8-hour refresher.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
• Legible handwriting and clear verbal/written communication.
• Ability to interface with cross-functional teams.
• Able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate field monitoring equipment (PID/FID, pH, EC, DO, etc.).
• Document monitoring results on field forms and prepare daily reports.
• Collect samples using various methods.
• Perform environmental collection, monitoring, sampling, testing and basic evaluation at locations.
• Conduct O&M on remediation systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure chain-of-custody for samples and deliver to lab.
• Interact with clients and wear appropriate PPE on sites.
• Record operational data in Word/Excel.
• Label and handle hazardous materials properly.
• Communicate site conditions to Project Managers promptly.
• Follow OSHA regulations and safety rules; participate in safety training.
• Support continuous improvement programs and industry training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
