Job summary

WithersRavenel is seeking an Environmental Technician II to support field and office tasks related to natural resource assessments, monitoring, and regulatory compliance.

You will assist with wetland and stream delineations, habitat assessments, data collection with GPS and field instruments, and CAD/GIS mapping. The role includes report preparation, coordinating with project managers and agencies, and occasional travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an environmental-related field.
• 0-4 years of experience in the environmental industry.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong work ethic with ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Ability to respond to client requests as directed by Project Manager in a timely manner.
• Excellent reporting and writing skills; ability to compile reports electronically.
• Flexibility to travel and stay overnight for out-of-town work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with wetland and stream delineations and other natural resource assessments.
• Prepare CAD base files and GIS maps for fieldwork.
• Assist with preparation of reports and exhibits documenting field investigations; support permitting.
• Attend on-site meetings with regulatory agencies and collaborate with team members.
• Maintain equipment and field vehicles and ensure inventory of field supplies.
