Job summary

Moseley Technical Services, Inc. in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot sewer flow monitoring systems and rainfall monitoring equipment.

This hands-on role supports wastewater projects and requires safety compliance and readiness for field work. You will perform field installations, calibrations, data collection, and equipment maintenance, traveling as needed and working overtime when required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required by law or government contract.
• High School Diploma required.
• Complete safety certification Level 2 and understand general field operations.
• Complete training in Core Flow Monitoring modules.
• Valid driver’s license, drug-free, and pass background check.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Basic computer skills (Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Team environment and daily productivity targets.

Responsibilities

• Perform fieldwork with flow monitoring equipment and SSES.
• Operate and maintain all issued equipment and vehicles.
• Install flow monitors within sewer lines.
• Install rainfall monitoring equipment.
• Calibrate flow monitors.
• Collect sewer flow and rainfall data and review for accuracy.
• Maintain flow monitors and rainfall gauges.
• Inspect manholes manually or with telemonitoring equipment.
• Conduct flow isolations, smoke testing, dye water flooding and site inspection.
• Maintain accurate, legible records per quality instructions.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment safety and upkeep.
• Adhere to safety procedures.
• Travel and work overtime as required.
• Complete internal training modules and certifications.
• Other duties as required.
• Serve as second person on crew.

Field Service Technician – Sewer Flow Monitoring & Environmental Data Collection

Location: Pleasanton, CA

Estimated Pay: $25.00/Hourly

We are hiring a Field Service Technician - Sewer Flow Monitoring & Environmental Data Collection to install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot sewer flow monitoring systems, rainfall monitoring equipment, and related environmental field instrumentation. This hands-on field role supports wastewater infrastructure projects through sewer inspections, data collection, equipment maintenance, confined space operations, and field testing while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform fieldwork with all product lines including, but not limited to the operation and maintenance of flow monitoring equipment and SSES.


• Responsible for operating and maintaining all issued equipment and vehicles associated with the above product lines.


• Installation of flow monitors within sewer lines.


• Installation of rainfall monitoring equipment.


• Flow monitor calibration.


• Collection of sewer flow and rainfall data and review for accuracy.


• Operation and maintenance of flow monitors and rainfall gauges.


• Inspect manholes manually or with telemonitoring equipment.


• Conduct flow isolations, smoke testing, dye water flooding and site inspection.


• Maintain accurate, legible and organized records in accordance to all quality work instructions.


• Maintain vehicle and equipment to ensure safety, mechanical soundness and productive operation.


• Adhere to all safety procedures and policies/procedures.


• Travel and work overtime hours as required.


• Complete all required internal training modules and certifications.


• Other duties as required.


• Perform the function of the second person on the crew.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required by law or government contract.


• High School Diploma.


• Employee should complete company safety certification to Level 2 at a minimum and obtain a solid understanding of general field operations.


• Complete training in the company Core Flow Monitoring modules.


• Additional training may be required as other needs arise.


• Valid driver's license, drug-free, and acceptable background check.


• Good mechanical skills.


• Basic computer skills (Windows-based operating platform and Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word at minimum).


• Manual dexterity and willingness to work outdoors.


• Physical and cognitive ability necessary to do confined space entry and perform rescue operations when necessary.


• Basic knowledge of electronics helpful.


• Must be able to function in a team environment and be capable of achieving daily productivity targets.


• Must be willing to travel and work in the physical conditions present in a sewer.
