Alliance Consulting, Inc. is a multi-disciplinary civil, environmental, and mining engineering firm with multiple office locations in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. We provide engineering and scientific solutions to our clients’ challenges with an operating philosophy rooted in integrity and dependability. To support our growth, we are seeking a motivated Environmental Field Technician for our Canonsburg, PA office. This position primarily involves field work to assist with inspections and monitoring projects.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform field inspections and monitoring of various sites and resources for compliance projects.
2. Conduct stream flow monitoring, water chemistry analysis, and environmental data collection for private water supplies.
3. Collect water quality samples at discharge points (NPDES locations).
4. Document conditions of structures and surface improvements such as buildings, roads, and driveways.
5. Inspect erosion and sediment controls.
6. Coordinate with private property owners for access and communicate project presence.
7. Prepare detailed documentation and records of inspections, observations, and sampling efforts.

Qualifications:

• Desire to work outdoors in rural settings.
• Ability to work independently in remote areas.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize field activities.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and walk long distances over various terrains.
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer software (Word, Excel, PDF), and navigation apps.
• Experience with GPS and mapping technologies.
• Field experience in groundwater and surface water monitoring and sampling.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
