Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, LLC is hiring a Field Technician I to support environmental sampling and testing across air, soil, water, and related areas. You'll build foundational field knowledge while supporting critical testing programs and customer needs.

The role emphasizes travel to sites, hands-on sample collection, and documentation. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with preferred experience in a lab or environmental setting and the ability to travel with some overnight stays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in related work preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred.
• Ability to travel with some overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
• Collect, process and test environmental samples, including air, soil, water, and related media.
• Perform field services using standard environmental support practices, including sample collection, test kit completion, and documentation of results.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and results as required.
• Prepare vehicles for daily field operations, including instruments, supplies, kits, materials, documentation, and safety equipment.
• Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately and timely.
• Assist with research and recommendations to resolve operational, customer, or employee issues.
• Support the review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet operational and organizational needs.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; elevate issues when needed.
• Contribute to team effectiveness by offering suggestions for improvements.
• Promote Pace Analytical's mission through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions with customers and coworkers.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

One year of laboratory/environmental experience preferred
