Job summary

Pace Analytical is hiring a Field Technician I to support environmental sampling and testing across air, soil, water, and related areas in Altoona, PA. The role involves traveling to sites, collecting samples, and ensuring accurate documentation and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent) and is willing to travel, with prior lab or environmental experience preferred. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
• Collect, process and test environmental samples, including air, soil, water, and related media.
• Perform field services using standard environmental support practices, including sample collection, test kit completion, and documentation of results.
• Prepare vehicles for daily field operations, including instruments, supplies, kits, materials, documentation, and safety equipment.
• Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately and timely.
