Job summary

Pace Analytical Services is seeking a Field Technician I in Altoona, PA to join our environmental testing team. The role involves travel to customer sites, collecting and testing samples (air, soil, water), and performing field services with strict safety and documentation practices.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, supporting ongoing programs and data quality initiatives. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, willingness to travel, and a valid driver’s license; prior

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1 year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting preferred.
The ability to travel with some overnight stays and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
Collect, process and test environmental samples (air, soil, water, and related media).
Perform field services using standard environmental practices and document results.
Prepare vehicles and equipment for daily field operations.
Maintain logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately and timely.
Support review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet needs.
