Job summary

Terracon's Omaha office is seeking a Field Engineer, Scientist or Geologist to join our Environmental Department. You will work outdoors, sampling soil, water and air, operating remediation systems, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Travel is required—roughly 75% of weeks—with some weekend work. A degree in engineering, geology or environmental science and OSHA HAZWOPER training are preferred; valid driver's license and ability to obtain DOT medical card are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology environmental science or related field with one year of related experience or, in lieu of a degree, 5 years’ related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
• Ability to travel out of town on a routine basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform site visits, field observations and field data collection (75% travel).
• Conduct water, soil, and air sampling.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
