Clean Harbors in Caseyville, IL is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist CDL Driver (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste in accordance with Federal/State/Local regulations and company policies. This position involves working both indoors and outdoors at various sites, assisting with lab packs, household hazardous waste collections, and lab moves. This is a customer-facing role, requiring daily work at customer sites.

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety practices and policies
- Prepare packing lists, labels, and manifests
- Inspect storage areas and drums for leaks, spills, and compliance
- Package waste chemicals properly for disposal
- Perform jobs at customer locations, including Fortune 500 companies
- Approve projects before shipment per regulations and policies
- Conduct projects according to regulations and safety plans
- Understand and adhere to customer disposal restrictions
- Sample and profile waste streams as needed
- Verify drum counts and conditions for shipment
- Follow all local, state, and federal regulations
- Operate vehicles safely according to DOT and other requirements
- Observe all safety and operational guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Driver's license
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to obtain a CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsements within 6 months
- Ability to perform physical tasks as required
- Successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical
- Meet facial hair standards per OSHA respirator regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree in Chemistry or Natural Science
- Experience in environmental services such as remediation or spill response
