Job summary

State of Michigan's EGLE Water Resource Division in the Grand Rapids District seeks a Student Assistant to help with Part 41 sanitary sewer project reviews and related duties. The role is limited to 129 hours per month and supports the District Supervisor or Senior Licensed Engineer.

Current enrollment in an educational program is required, with interest in environmental protection. Preference given to Environmental Engineering or related fields, and completion of substantial college coursework

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an educational program (high school, vocational/technical or post-secondary).
• Evidence of enrollment or acceptance may be required.
• Completion of 55 semester hours (or 83 term hours) toward the degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical reviews of sanitary sewer projects under Part 41.
• Support the Grand Rapids District Office staff and Supervisors as assigned.
• Provide assistance to other WRD programs in the Grand Rapids District.
