Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking Environmental Engineering interns to support design tasks and project duties across markets in Southfield, MI. You will assist with data, documentation, and presentations while learning from lead engineers.

The role favors applicants pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field, with ABET accreditation preferred. Strong communication, problem solving, and leadership are valued. US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong problem solving and analytical ability.
• demonstrated leadership and campus/community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns and research project problems.
• Support lead engineers with various project duties and ad hoc tasks.
