Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern for the Arlington, Virginia office. This internship within our Federal Group will participate in a team to help execute a variety of Federal investigation/remediation projects with oversight from senior managers and technical experts.

The ideal candidate will focus on health and safety, be detail oriented, and communicate effectively. This position is expected to begin ASAP and offers hands-on experience in engineering, design, and infrastructure projects,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering and have completed at least three years of study.
• US Citizenship is required due to work nature.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites.

Responsibilities

• Site visits at military bases, industrial, and municipal clients.
• Data collection and analysis for environmental compliance, sustainability, and stormwater projects.
• Environmental sampling (stormwater, wastewater, hazardous waste).
• Development of technical memoranda and reports.
• Preparation of environmental reporting forms.
• Local travel is likely; US travel possible and project dependent.
