Job summary

Sanborn Head in Burlington, VT seeks an aspiring civil, environmental, or geotechnical engineer for a Summer 2027 Engineering Intern in the Development Client Service Area. This paid internship offers hands-on experience from due diligence through design and construction with guidance from senior staff.

Ideal candidates are current students or recent graduates in environmental, civil, or geotechnical programs and are willing to travel to project sites in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Recent degree or current enrollment in civil, environmental or geotechnical engineering.
• Enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. program or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Learn the responsibilities of an engineer on real projects.
• Assist in preparation of technical reports and regulatory activities.
• Assist with field assessments such as groundwater and soil sampling and remediation oversight.
• Support data collection, analysis and interpretation for environmental/geotechnical work.
• Attend project meetings and learn project management basics.
