Job summary

Foth is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join a growing solid waste project portfolio across multiple U.S. locations. The role offers hybrid work flexibility and hands‑on experience developing engineering solutions for landfill facilities.

The ideal candidate has a Civil/Geotechnical/Environmental Engineering background, 2+ years of engineering experience, and an EIT or ability to obtain it within a year. AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering, or related degree.
• At least 2 years of engineering experience.
• Experience preparing technical reports and memos.
• Engineer-in-Training designation (or ability to obtain within one year).

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on engineering for solid waste facilities.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce plan sets for permitting and construction.
• Prepare permit submittals to regulatory agencies.
• Document construction quality on landfill projects (travel up to 20%).
• Assist in preparing regulatory compliance plans and reports.
• Prepare sampling plans and collect field sampling data (soil, groundwater, and air).
• Analyze and interpret data.
• Prepare engineer cost estimates and complete cost-benefit economic analysis.
