Job summary

Foth is seeking a Lead Environmental Engineer to join our solid waste team in Florida. You will serve as the primary technical resource, lead projects, and coordinate with clients, regulators, and vendors. Hybrid work option with flexibility to work from multiple Florida offices or remote within the state.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, 10+ years in engineering with solid waste project experience, and strong communication skills to manage client relationships and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• PE licensure required.
• Minimum 10 years engineering experience, with 5+ years in solid waste.
• Experience with federal/state regulatory requirements for waste facilities.
• Strong client and project team communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource for solid waste projects.
• Oversee development and QC review of plans and specifications; engineer of record for municipal solid waste, ash monofill and demolition landfill waste facility construction projects.
• Provide hands-on technical engineering for solid waste projects.
• Lead project teams to meet client expectations within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Act as primary client contact; attend meetings, advocate for client interests with regulators and contractors.
• Contribute to proposals and sales/marketing efforts as needed.
• Identify client needs and initiate activities to meet them.
• Coach junior staff to develop technical skills.
• Communicate effectively with client and project teams on technical issues.
