Job summary

Frontier-Kemper-Tutor Perini joint venture seeks an Environmental Engineer to join the Manhattan Tunnel Project in New York, NY. This role conducts environmental assessments and helps integrate EMPs into construction.

The position requires a Bachelor's in EHS/Environmental Engineering, 5+ years on-site experience, and credentials such as QEP and HAZWOPER. Exceptional collaboration and reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, OSH, EHS, or Environmental Engineering.
• QEP credential recognized by NYSDEC.
• OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental impact assessments and site evaluations for civil construction projects.
• Develop, implement and monitor EMPs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and contractors to integrate environmental considerations into planning and execution.
• Monitor air, water, soil quality and waste management on sites to prevent contamination.
• Prepare environmental reports, documentation and permits for construction projects.
• Identify environmental risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Perform site inspections and audits to ensure policy compliance.
• Assist in environmental training programs for construction teams.
• Stay updated on environmental laws and best practices.
• Support sustainability initiatives and green technologies.
