Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation in Appleton, WI is seeking an Environmental Engineer Intern to support the Environmental and Sustainability Function. The intern will assist with project assignments and tasks essential to the team’s success, promoting sustainable practices in business planning and operations.

Responsibilities include working on sustainability initiatives, assisting with compliance tasks, and preparing information on permits, air emissions, and environmental reporting.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related environmental field for the duration of the internship.
GPA 3.0 or greater preferred.
Strong communication skills (oral and written).
Demonstrated involvement in relevant coursework or activities.

Responsibilities

Work on sustainability and environmental projects and initiatives.
Assist with environmental compliance tasks and projects.
Provide technical environmental sustainability and compliance services to operations.
Provide technical assistance to management, employees, and others on compliance, permitting, sustainability and reporting.
Research and prepare information such as permit applications, air emission inventories, environmental reports and disclosures.
