Job summary

CHS Inc. in McPherson, Kansas is seeking an Environmental Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. You will collaborate with the Environmental staff to enhance regulatory compliance programs across governmental acts and programs.

The role offers hands-on data gathering, reporting, and tracking systems implementation, plus workplace safety practices. Applicants should be current sophomores or juniors in environmental engineering with a good GPA and relevant internship exposure.

Qualifications

• Sophomore or Junior year in Environmental Engineering with GPA 2.6 or better.
• GPA 3.0 or better is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering process data and analyzing for regulatory report submittals.
• Work with environmental staff to implement environmental tracking and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with environmental staff and operations on regulatory matters.
• Follow and adhere to all safety training and company practices.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including respirators.

CHS Inc. has an exciting opportunity at our McPherson, Kansas refinery for an Environmental Engineer Intern for the Summer of 2027. The successful applicant(s) work with our Environmental staff to enhance regulatory compliance programs associated with all of the governmental acts and programs.

• Work with environmental staff to implement environmental tracking and reporting systems.
• Work closely with environmental staff and operations on a variety of regulatory matters.
• Follow and adhere to all safety training and company practices.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including respirators.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Completion of your Sophomore or Junior year in Environmental Engineering, in an accredited program with a cumulative GPA of 2.6 or better.

Additional Qualifications

• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Previous internship or work experience in the oil and gas industry.
