Job summary

HGL (HydroGeoLogic, Inc.) is seeking an Environmental Engineer II in the Denver area to support EPA, DoD, and other agencies. The role focuses on groundwater and soil remediation, PFAS and related contaminants, with travel up to 50% in the western U.S.

The position emphasizes field work, data analysis, and collaboration across teams in a dynamic, safety-focused environment. Ideal candidates have a 4+ year background in environmental engineering, a relevant degree, and the ability to obtain OSHA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geologic/Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of related work experience in environmental investigations and remediation.
• Experience with groundwater, soil, and surface water/sediment sampling.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and other MS Office applications; data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead field teams to ensure safe field operations per Site Safety Plans and SOPs.
• Assist with collection of water, soil, soil vapor, surface water and sediment samples using various methods.
• Support remedial system installation, operations & maintenance activities.
• Oversee field subcontractors, remediation activities, waste transport and disposal.
• Contribute to work plans, RI reports, SSHP/HASPs, and technical memoranda.
• Analyze environmental data and support project communications and documentation.
