Job summary

Calgon Carbon Corporation, a Kuraray Company, is seeking an Environmental Engineer II for the Big Sandy Plant in Catlettsburg, KY. The role focuses on day-to-day environmental compliance, air permits, wastewater, stormwater and hazardous waste management, with responsibilities in regulatory reporting and employee training.

You will report to the Environmental Health & Safety Manager and work with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to federal, state and local regulations while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering or related field.
• 2-3 years environmental program management experience.
• Air permitting and regulatory reporting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory compliance for air permits, wastewater, stormwater and hazardous waste.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports (SARA, DMRs, air certifications, hazardous waste).
• Develop and implement environmental procedures and training.
• Support EH&S initiatives across the site.
• Provide cross-functional EH&S support as needed.
• Lead regulatory inspections and agency interface as needed.
