Job summary

Niyam IT is seeking an Environmental Engineer/Scientist to join our team in support of a federal client. This role covers environmental compliance, policy development, regulatory analysis, auditing, training, and EMS activities across multiple locations.

The selected candidate will assist with audits, reports, permits, and incident response; travel to a designated region is expected. Qualified applicants should be US citizens with a relevant degree, at least 1 year of environmental experience,

Qualifications

• US citizen able to obtain public trust.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, or related field.
• At least 1 year of environmental work experience, with familiarity of hazardous materials and hazardous waste regulations.
• Ability to travel ~50% and interact with diverse personnel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support the Environmental Management Program across locations.
• Provide technical, analytical, and administrative support for environmental compliance, policy development, regulatory analysis, auditing, inspections, and recordkeeping.
• Assist in developing and maintaining environmental policies, procedures, directives, and supporting materials.
• Conduct and support environmental compliance audits, including in-person, virtual, and self-assessment formats, ensuring alignment with requirements.
• Prepare and maintain environmental reports, plans, permits, and related documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Travel as required to client facilities nationwide.
