Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Environmental Engineer for Davenport, IA to drive environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives. You will work with the EHS Site Lead to ensure adherence to environmental and health regulations and to advance site sustainability programs.

Responsibilities include overseeing regulatory compliance, developing trainings, supporting changes, and coordinating with external agencies during audits while promoting a zero-incident EHS culture across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other EHS related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience with environmental programs such as Tier II, TRI (EPCRA), NESHAP, NRS, Clean Air Act, Storm Water, Industrial Wastewater, RCRA, CERCLA, SPCC, etc.
• U.S. work eligibility only; Eaton does not sponsor visa.
• Export-controlled information requires the candidate to be a U.S. person (citizen, lawful permanent resident, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations (RCRA, SWPPP, AIR, WASTEWATER, GHS).
• Develop and manage compliance trainings and site-wide communications on environmental compliance.
• Support management of change for processes, equipment, chemicals, and facilities; liaise with regulatory agencies during audits and ensure corrective actions.
