Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC, a joint venture between LG Energy Solution and General Motors, seeks an Environmental Engineer for our Spring Hill, TN facility. This role supports environmental compliance, safety programs, and sustainability initiatives at a premier battery manufacturing plant.

You will design and implement environmental programs, manage permits and reporting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory conformance and continuous improvement across production processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills across all management levels.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Ability to work autonomously and cross-functionally in a team.

Responsibilities

• Investigate incidents and near-misses, lead corrective/preventive action.
• Monitor compliance with EPA, TDEC, and other environmental regulations.
• Conduct environmental training and inspections.
• Manage environmental permits, reporting and air, water and waste programs.
