Job summary

Georgia-Pacific’s Wauna Paper Mill in Clatskanie, OR seeks an Environmental Engineer to identify and mitigate risks while driving process improvements and environmental excellence. You will develop and manage the facility’s environmental air compliance programs and management systems.

You’ll collaborate with a local Environmental team and regional partners, lead air emissions reporting (Title V) and permit work, and help design controls for emissions reduction.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and field experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience with air emissions regulation and environmental programs is preferred.
• CEMS/DAS experience and familiarity with Title V permits are a plus.
• Pulp & Paper industry experience and knowledge of Clean Air Act regulations are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end air emissions compliance, data management, reporting, and regulatory submissions.
• Identify permitting requirements, prepare and maintain permits, and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
• Develop, implement, and manage environmental air compliance programs and management systems.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering to optimize air pollution controls.
• Support inspections, audits, and agency coordination; manage contractor work on environmental projects.
