This position involves the review, processing, and assessment of Permits and Plans of EPDpermittedpublic drinking water systems. This position is responsible for determining whether proposed municipal public drinking water systemsmeet all criteria described in EPD rules as well as minimum standards for drinking water systems as well as planning a multi-tiered approach toprogram implementation. Applicant must be able to apply engineering judgement and knowledge of water treatment technologies to determinewhether to grant or modify a permit to operate a drinking public water system in the state of Georgia. This position will work with other units in EPDand other state and federal agencies to manage the complete Drinking Water Permitting and Regulatory review process. This position will requirein-state travel, interaction with drinking water professionals and organizations, public, water system operators, state inspectors and other state andfederal regulatory managers, Excellent communication and team leading skills are vital and include both verbal and written proficiency.Preferred Qualifications:1. Experience in state and federal rules and regulations.2. Experience working in an environmental engineering profession.3.
