Job summary

Clarios, LLC is seeking an experienced environmental professional to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Municipal environmental rules through an effective EMS. The role requires leading engineers to maintain compliance via audits, inspections, and thorough recordkeeping at our St.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, EHS Management, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
• Experience in air permitting and operations, wastewater permitting and operations, and regulatory experience in CAA, CWA, SARA, TIER II, TRI (EPCRA), NESHAP, RCRA, CERCLA, SPCC, etc.
• Preferred Experience leading teams.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Municipal environmental rules and regulations through the implementation and maintenance of an Environmental Management System.
• Lead Environmental Engineers to ensure compliance with facility, regional, corporate, and regulatory standards through audits, inspections, and accurate recordkeeping.
• Develop and oversee environmental management systems in partnership with EHS Systems and Training, including training, hazard analysis, spill prevention, and regulatory preparedness.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to integrate environmental considerations into proposed changes and capital projects.
• Act as the primary technical resource for environmental compliance and continuous improvement across site and regional teams.
• Monitor regulatory changes, submit required reports, and identify opportunities for emissions reduction and emerging environmental technologies.

What you will do

This will be onsite 5 days a week at our St Joseph DAP location.

Support investigations and recommend corrective actions to maintain environmental compliance and data integrity. Develop and oversee environmental management systems in partnership with EHS Systems and Training, including training, hazard analysis, spill prevention, and regulatory preparedness. Collaborate with engineering and project teams to integrate environmental considerations into proposed changes and capital projects. Act as the primary technical resource for environmental compliance and continuous improvement across site and regional teams. Monitor regulatory changes, submit required reports, and identify opportunities for emissions reduction and emerging environmental technologies.

What we look for

• Required Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, EHS Management, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant environment.
• Professional experience in air permitting and operations, wastewater permitting and operations, and regulatory experience in CAA, CWA, SARA, TIER II, TRI (EPCRA), NESHAP, RCRA, CERCLA, SPCC, etc.
• Preferred Experience leading teams.
