Job summary

Sirius Talent Group is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to support a large chemical manufacturing facility in Circleville, Ohio. The role focuses on air permitting and air-quality compliance while supporting water, hazardous waste, and chemical reporting.

You will work with plant operations, engineering, and site leadership to manage environmental programs, maintain permits and documentation, and help drive sustainability initiatives onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environment Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (required).
• 5+ years of environmental compliance experience
• 5+ years of experience supporting a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with air permitting and Clean Air Act compliance; Title V permitting preferred
• Experience with environmental regulatory reporting and maintaining compliance documentation
• Knowledge of Clean Water Act/NPDES, RCRA/hazardous waste, EPCRA, and SPCC requirements
• Experience working with plant operations, engineering, EHS, and cross-functional teams in industrial settings
• Process manufacturing experience is highly desirable
• Must be comfortable working onsite in an active manufacturing environment
• U.S. citizen; no visa sponsorship for this role

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental compliance programs with emphasis on air permitting and air-quality regulations.
• Maintain CAA compliance including Title V permits, NSR, minor permits, emissions reporting, and documentation.
• Support MACT standards (MON MACT and MCM MACT) compliance.
• Manage CWA compliance, including NPDES industrial wastewater and stormwater permits.
• Maintain SPCC plans, inspections, and spill-prevention programs.
• Manage RCRA and state waste-management requirements for hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal waste.
• Prepare EPCRA, SARA 312/Tier II, and SARA 313/Toxic Release Inventory reporting.
• Maintain environmental compliance records, permits, reports, emergency response and contingency plans.
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering to evaluate environmental impacts of process changes.
• Participate in the facility's Emergency Response Team and support preparedness.
• Track and improve sustainability measures related to energy, water, waste, and spill reduction.
• Provide environmental guidance, training, and coaching to employees and leadership.
• Assist with environmental audits, inquiries, and corrective actions.

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to support a large chemical manufacturing facility in Circleville, Ohio. This position will serve as a key environmental resource for the site, helping ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

The Environmental Engineer will have a strong focus on air permitting and air-quality compliance, while also supporting water, hazardous waste, chemical reporting, spill prevention, and other environmental programs. This position will work closely with plant operations, engineering, corporate EHS, and site leadership

Responsibilities

• Manage and support site environmental compliance programs , with a strong emphasis on air permitting and air-quality regulations.
• Maintain compliance with Clean Air Act (CAA) requirements, including Title V Operating Permits , New Source Review (NSR), Minor Source permits, emissions reporting, and required documentation.
• Support compliance with applicable MACT standards , including Miscellaneous Organic Chemicals (MON) MACT and Miscellaneous Coatings Manufacturing (MCM) MACT requirements.
• Manage Clean Water Act (CWA) compliance, including NPDES industrial wastewater and stormwater permits.
• Maintain and support Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans, inspections, and spill-prevention programs.
• Manage RCRA and state waste-management requirements for hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal waste.
• Prepare and maintain required environmental and chemical reporting, including EPCRA, SARA 312/Tier II, and SARA 313/Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reporting.
• Maintain environmental compliance records, permits, reports, emergency response plans, and contingency plans.
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to evaluate environmental impacts associated with process, equipment, and facility changes.
• Participate in the facility's Emergency Response Team (ERT) and support environmental emergency preparedness.
• Track and help improve sustainability measures related to energy, water, waste, and spill reduction.
• Provide environmental guidance, training, and coaching to employees and leadership.
• Assist with environmental audits, inspections, regulatory inquiries, & corrective actions.

• Chemical, coatings, resin/polymer, petrochemical, or other process manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
• Must be comfortable working onsite in an active manufacturing environment.
