Job summary

Bridge Specialty Group is seeking an Associate (Environmental and Energy) Broker to join our growing team. The role involves reviewing submissions to evaluate and market insurance for individuals and groups.

You will work closely with an established broker under supervision, handling risk assessment, quoting, binding, and policy issuance processes. We value brokers with an eye for detail, strong communication, and a track record in insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years insurance experience; 2 years as underwriting assistant (Preferred).
• Exceptional telephone demeanor.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Experience with excess and surplus lines underwriting agency or company.

Responsibilities

• Review insurance submissions and applications to evaluate, qualify and market individuals and groups for insurance.
• Examine application forms, inspection reports, insurance maps, and loss runs to assess risk factors.
• Review company records to determine the amount of insurance in force on single or related risks.
• Secure payments on risks bound or written to maintain financial controls.
• Develop and maintain carrier and brokerage relationships to place risks and grow a book of business.
• Market and meet with retail agency customers to develop and cultivate relationships.
