Job summary

Fossil Rim Wildlife Center invites applications for an Environmental Education Internship in Glen Rose, TX. This full-time internship runs about 22-23 weeks, requires candidates to be at least 21, and includes a $400/month stipend plus free on-site housing during the internship.

Responsibilities include developing and presenting programs, leading tours, and engaging diverse visitors while supporting conservation education themes.

Qualifications

• Experience with children, the public, or in an educational setting is required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work atypical schedule including nights and weekends.
• Undergraduate degree in biology, environmental science, or education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and present education programs and events.
• Provide excellent customer service for guests.
• Lead engaging and interpretive tours of Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.
• Facilitate exploration through activity stations and roving interpretation.
• Host groups for tours, day programs, and overnight programs.
