Job summary

Veolia is recruiting for a CDL B Driver to support the Clean Earth integration. The role involves traveling on an assigned route to pack, transport, and dispose of waste in compliance with all regulations.

Expect one overnight per week and some weekend work, with a company card for hotels and a daily stipend for meals. Starting pay is $30.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan starting no later than Jan 1, 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs repeatedly.
• Able to stand, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Valid Class B CDL required; DOT physical and drug test passed.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred; TWIC Card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pack, transport, and dispose of waste materials per regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and follow instructions independently after training.

Job Description

In the CDL B Driver role, you will be traveling to locations along an assigned route where you will be responsible for packing, transporting, and properly disposing of waste materials in accordance with our environmentally responsible policies and procedures. This position requires the maintenance of records with accuracy and attention to detail, the ability to follow instruction, and to work independently once provided proper training.

This position requires 1 overnight per week and some weekend work. You will be provided with a company card to pay for a hotel and given a daily stipend to cover food and other expenses.

Package and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.

Complete required paperwork in accordance with appropriate regulations and customer policies, practices, and procedures.

Load and secure materials and waste or unload truck at various customer sites or Clean Earth locations.

Prepare and load truck with necessary supplies.

Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily while communicating any issues to the Manager or Dispatcher for resolution.

Perform a documented pre-trip and post-trip check on assigned truck prior to leaving and closing each day.

Plan schedule/route based on customer needs by reviewing daily paperwork (e.g. manifests, route sheets, etc.).

Follow routing software route schedule.

Follow all DOT guidelines while driving.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

At least 21 years of age

High School diploma or GED required

Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.

Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time

Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel, etc)

Willing and able to wear company-provided personal protective equipment such as eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator (as needed)

Valid ClassB Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check

Preferred Requirements:

Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (candidates will be expected to obtain as a condition of employment after hire)

Valid TWIC Card

Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations

Additional Information

Starting pay: $30.00 - $30.00
