Job summary

MnDOT Metro District is seeking an Environmental Document Writer to prepare environmental documents and support project controls. You will collect data, analyze environmental information, and draft technical documents for federal and state requirements.

The role requires strong writing skills, proficiency in MS Office, and knowledge of environmental regulations. Hybrid work options and a daytime schedule are available in Roseville, MN.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of professional experience; OR a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Environmental/Natural Resources Studies/Science, Transportation Planning or Engineering, or related degree plus one year of professional experience.
• Experience writing technical documents related to environmental topics sufficient to communicate engineering principles, environmental rules, regulations, and impacts.
• Ability to independently complete state and federal environmental documents of low to moderate complexity.
• Experience using Microsoft Office to organize text, tables and data.

Responsibilities

• Provide data collection, technical analysis, and document preparation of federal and state environmental documents for MnDOT Metro District Project Controls Group.
• Prepare and summarize information and technical data for environmental documentation.
• Communicate complex engineering and environmental information to varied stakeholders.
