Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate creative ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to shape creative concepts to suit client and situational needs.

Position Summary

The Environmental Designer is responsible for creating innovative brand experiences across various environments, including trade show exhibits, special events, and both temporary and permanent installations.

Working closely with diverse creative and production team members, the Environmental Designer will deliver environmental solutions for both internal and external stakeholders within the Creative Department. As a key collaborator, they will shape the visual tone, appearance, functionality, and overall aesthetic of client projects. Environmental Designers are integral to the conceptual process, transforming the team’s ideas into compelling designs.

Position Requirements
  • An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in environmental design (interior design, event design, industrial design, etc.), communication design, or visual arts or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum four years of design experience in event design, environmental or experiential marketing.
  • Exceptional visual command and computer skills.
  • Understanding of design, layout, and scale.
  • Ability to communicate creative ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to shape creative concepts to suit client and situational needs.
  • Strong proficiency preferred in Vectorworks or relevant experience in AutoCAD (a plus).
  • Strong proficiency preferred in 3D modeling programs such as C4D or TwinMotion.
  • Strategic, collaborative, and eager to roll up your sleeves to support projects quickly and proficiently on tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Adobe Cloud Creative Suite (or equivalent).
  • Strong writing skills are a huge plus.
  • Must provide a visual portfolio of experiences.
  • An understanding of the importance of active listening in the role.
  • A true team spirit who thrives on working as part of an enthusiastic and energetic team, and inspiring others; demonstrating a collaborative approach to achieving results and encouraging the inputs and ideas of others, who is also eager to learn and better their craft within a fast-paced industry.
  • Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers’ needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
  • Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
