NC Office of State Human Resources is seeking a Temporary Environmental Specialist II to enter and manage occurrence records for the Natural Heritage Program in the NC Division of Land and Water Stewardship in Raleigh. The role emphasizes GIS mapping, data review, and Biotics data entry.

This is a temporary position with a pay rate of $31.92/hour and eligibility for HDHP health benefits if hours align. A Bachelor’s in a related science plus two years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science and two years of related experience.
• Experience working with large data sets and GIS platforms.
• Ability to analyze and validate biological/geographic data.

Responsabilités

• Enter and manage occurrence records of rare plants, animals, and natural communities.
• Map occurrences in a GIS-based web platform.
• Enter tabular data into the Biotics database.
