Qualifications

• Four years of recent (within the last ten years) full-time criminal investigative experience; college coursework or training may substitute for up to two years.
• Active Oregon (DPSST) Advanced Police certification (or higher) OR an equivalent certification with the ability to obtain within a year.
• Must maintain an Oregon State driver license and qualifying score with duty firearm(s), First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, direct and conduct complete investigations with investigative jurisdiction.
• Prepare warrants and affidavits; organize crime scene processing.
• Conduct interviews of victims, witnesses, and suspects; manage search crews.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies; support prosecutors.
• Maintain evidence chain of custody and prepare comprehensive reports.
