Job summary

Aquatic Vegetation Control, Inc. is hiring an Environmental Crew Supervisor to lead a field crew in vegetation management across Palm Beach County, Florida. This hands-on role requires reliability, safety-minded supervision, and outdoor work in challenging conditions.

You will organize daily tasks, enforce PPE and safety policies, operate trucks and equipment, and complete reports for the Project Manager. Training and a pesticide applicator license will be provided, with opportunities for

Qualifications

• Hands-on supervisory role leading a field crew
• Comfortable working outdoors in Florida heat and conditions
• Strong emphasis on safety, PPE, and policy adherence
• Willingness to operate trucks, trailers, boats, and application equipment
• Ability to perform daily vehicle, equipment, and safety inspections
• Ability to travel to Palm Beach County job sites and communicate with the Project Manager
• Willingness to obtain Florida pesticide applicator license within six months
• Background check and Drug-Free Workplace condition compliance

Aquatic Vegetation Control, Inc. (AVC) is hiring an Environmental Crew Supervisor to lead and work alongside a field crew performing vegetation management on conservation lands throughout Palm Beach County.

This is a hands-on outdoor position for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, comfortable leading others, and interested in building a long-term career in environmental services.

Prior vegetation management or supervisory experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.

What You Will Do

• Lead and work alongside a field crew during daily operations
• Help organize daily work assignments and keep the crew on task

What We Are Looking For

• Reliable and able to report to work consistently and on time
• Comfortable supervising and working alongside a field crew
• Willing to work outdoors in Florida heat, humidity, standing water, dense vegetation, and uneven terrain
• Able to communicate clearly and follow written and verbal instructions
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid Florida driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Able to travel to job locations throughout Palm Beach County
• Willing to obtain an FDACS pesticide applicator license within six months; training and assistance are provided
• Able to pass a background check
• Committed to working safely in a Drug-Free Workplace

• Landscaping or vegetation management
• Environmental or conservation work
• Pest control or herbicide application
• Construction or outdoor labor
• Agriculture, irrigation, or grounds maintenance
• Crew leadership or field supervision
• Operating trucks, trailers, boats, or outdoor equipment

Work Environment

This position involves active outdoor work that may include:

• Heat and humidity
• Standing water and muddy conditions
• Uneven terrain
• Wildlife and insects
• Dense vegetation
• Lifting, walking, bending, and operating field equipment
