Job summary

Magna International in Bowling Green, KY is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of the environmental program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will conduct audits, prepare reports, and work cross-functionally with manufacturing to integrate sustainable practices.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's in environmental field, 4+ years of experience, and knowledge of ISO 14001.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in environmental compliance or sustainability roles in an industrial setting.
  • Certification in environmental management (CHMM, REM, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local, state and federal environmental regulations (EPA, RCRA, CAA, CWA).
  • Experience with environmental management systems (ISO14001).
  • Experience in managing environmental compliance including reporting and recordkeeping, environmental permitting for all media, manufacturing operations, regulatory reviews, etc.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to effectively communicate and teach both in private group settings.
  • Must have the ability to exercise considerable judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
