Job summary

NTH Consultants, Ltd. in Northville, MI is seeking a Summer 2027 environmental internship to assist on permitting, ESAs, HMS, and demolition oversight. This on-site role offers hands-on field experience in a dynamic regulatory environment.

You will help prepare permit applications, review reports, collect samples, and compile daily field reports, all while adhering to safety standards and a collaborative team ethos. Applicants must be commuting distance and enrolled in a relevant degree program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Must be working on a degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Engineering, preferably Environmental, Civil, or Chemical (or related) discipline.
• Be willing and able to work on construction sites and along freeway right-of-way while performing review activities. (Proper safety training will be provided).
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Be able to work in a team environment as well as independently, demonstrated team-oriented approach to problem-solving, and have strong interpersonal skills.
• Accuracy, dependability, and time management skills to manage multiple assignments at any given time.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance, have reliable transportation, and be willing to travel to and conduct field work at various job sites.

Duties will include working on permit applications, reviewing reports, and field work (such as collecting samples) with preparation of daily field reports.

NOTE: This is a seasonal on-site position for Summer 2027. Applicants must be located within commuting distance of our Northville, MI office.
