Job summary

Anderson Environmental Contracting, LLC is seeking an experienced Environmental Site Superintendent to lead field operations across environmentally focused construction projects. This is a hands-on supervisory role with on-site leadership and active field duties in environmental remediation, demolition, and stormwater work.

Qualifications

  • Five+ years of construction or environmental construction experience.
  • Two+ years of construction supervisory or field-leadership experience.
  • Experience leading crews and coordinating multiple field activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, schedules, and related project documents.
  • Working knowledge of environmental construction methods and field procedures.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment and construction tools safely and competently.
  • Ability to maintain accurate project, production, cost, and safety documentation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced field environment.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Oregon and Washington, including overnight and extended out-of-area assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct field crews performing environmental remediation, demolition, stormwater, infrastructure, and remedial-treatment work.
  • Organize daily field activities based on project plans, specifications, schedules, site conditions, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate allocation of personnel, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and other project resources.
  • Partner with the Project Manager to develop work plans, schedules, cost estimates, and project execution strategies.
  • Assist with obtaining and evaluating quotes from subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment vendors.
  • Coordinate site mobilization, construction activities, material handling, and project closeout.
  • Oversee contaminated-soil excavation, segregation, stockpiling, loading, transportation, and disposal activities.
  • Supervise demolition, grading, backfilling, compaction, stormwater, piping, infrastructure, and site-restoration work.
  • Perform hands-on construction activities when necessary to support production and successful project completion.
  • Safely operate heavy equipment and specialized construction tools when qualified and authorized.
  • Conduct and document daily tailgate meetings, job safety analyses, inspections, and other required safety activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely daily reports, safety documentation, cost records, equipment records, and other field documentation.
  • Monitor labor hours, equipment usage, material quantities, field productivity, and project costs.
  • Update project schedules based on actual field conditions and work progress.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable EPA, OSHA, state, local, client, and project-specific requirements.
  • Promote a professional, accountable, and safety-focused work environment.
  • Perform other duties and project assignments as needed.
