Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Environmental Compliance Technician I - TSDF to support the compliance team in field operations. You will analyze soil, groundwater, and atmospheric samples and help implement corrective actions while maintaining records and documentation in line with procedures.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of EPA/OSHA regulations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with vendors for testing and reporting. A valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental regulations and testing procedures.
• Ability to conduct studies, analyze data, and present findings clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
• Understanding of EPA/OSHA regulations and ISO programs.

Responsibilities

• Supports leachate management by monitoring water levels and pump functionality.
• Performs inspections, maintains logs, and tracks deficiencies.
• Ensures SWPPP compliance and other water requirements through sampling and inspections.
• Coordinates with outside vendors or laboratories for testing and reporting.
• Assists with annual and monthly compliance reporting.
• Maintains and updates environmental compliance records and reports.
• Repairs or replaces damaged items on bulk waste containers as needed.
• Provides operational field support to the environmental compliance team.
