Job summary

The Environmental Technician at TACOM-managed facilities supports compliance and sustainability efforts. You will help with inspections, waste management, and environmental documentation to ensure adherence to laws, permits, and Army policies.

The role tracks waste streams, manifests, and disposal activities per regulatory and contractual requirements. This position is contingent upon award and requires the ability to work in a physically demanding environment while following safety and PPE

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in environmental, safety, or compliance programs.
• Understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to follow SOPs and regulatory guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with environmental compliance activities for TACOM operations and facilities.
• Conduct routine environmental inspections of shops, storage areas, and work sites.
• Support hazardous material and hazardous waste management, labeling, storage, and inspections.
• Assist with spill prevention, response, and reporting requirements.
• Collect environmental samples and maintain chain-of-custody documentation.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and inspection documentation; support audits and reviews.
