Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of experience performing technical support and public contact work in regulatory, public health, or environmental service environment.
• Six months of technical support experience in environmental regulation or research support for Level II (plus 12 semester units).
• Notes on substitution of education with experience and submission of proof of requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of technical office and field support for professional environmental staff involved in monitoring environmental regulations, protecting public health and safety, and controlling environmental hazards.
• Assist with field investigations by collecting and preparing test samples, recording data, and preparing summaries and charts.
• Promote understating of and compliance with federal, State, and local regulatory mandates.

Education

12 semester units in physical science, life science, engineering or closely related field
