Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with major in health science, public health, natural science, physical science, environmental science, or a related field; two years of professional environmental regulation, analysis, or research experience at journey level (Environmental Specialist II).
• Or: Master’s degree in health science, public health, natural science, physical science, environmental science, or related field; one year of journey level environmental inspections, enforcement, or research experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply scientific theory to identify, research, and resolve environmental issues in regulatory compliance, public health, and pollution prevention.
• Read, interpret, and apply environmental laws and regulations; develop recommendations or solutions based on data.
