Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking an Environmental Manager I to drive environmental compliance and sustainability at a processing site. You will oversee programs across air and water quality, waste management, and reporting, partnering with cross-functional teams to maintain operational excellence and reduce waste.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field, 6+ years of experience, and a wastewater license. Travel to remote facilities will be required; strong communication and organizational skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Biological Science.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in environmental and sustainability programs.
• Strong reading, writing, communication and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and practices.
• Ensure compliance with wastewater, air quality, hazardous waste and other environmental programs.
• Lead and mentor staff to meet production, regulatory and sustainability goals.
• Provide timely, accurate reports to internal and external customers.
• Lead public education and community relations efforts for environmental programs.
• Assist with audits and regular meetings to communicate activities and safety items.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Biological Science

Master’s Degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Health, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry or Natural Science
