Job summary

Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Inspector to perform daily and weekly environmental inspections and ensure compliance with applicable laws and permits. The role supports production and coordinates with environmental requirements across the facility.

Under the Environmental Manager, you will monitor permits, assist with regulatory compliance, and conduct inspections. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with 3+ years of environmental experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend written or diagram forms and plans.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA basics.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and weekly environmental inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist in providing support to Production to meet environmental permits and laws.
• Operate equipment as needed to ensure compliance with permits and regulations.
• Maintain inventory and storage of hazardous materials per policy and regulations.
• Investigate and resolve compliance questions or complaints.
• Carry out duties with minimal supervision and follow instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
