Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Project Manager with a background in Engineering or Environmental Science for the Chicago, IL area.

The role focuses on leading environmental compliance projects, delivering plans and permit applications, and ensuring safety and quality while coordinating teams and clients. Qualified candidates will have 4–6 years of environmental consulting and project management experience, OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental compliance project management and writing, data analysis, and strong communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and budgets, with attention to health and safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental compliance projects (CWA/NPDES) for diverse clients and projects.
• Prepare and review SWPPP, SPCC plans, and related permit applications.
• Submit stormwater, wastewater, EPCRA, hazardous waste reports and other compliance documents.
• Lead cost and technical proposals and collaborate on large programs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and manage field work and budgets.
