J.M. Huber Corporation is seeking a Manager, Environmental Affairs & Compliance to provide strategic leadership across multiple manufacturing and mining sites, ensuring environmental compliance and protecting the license to operate for its minerals businesses.

The role leads permitting, regulatory compliance, sustainability management systems, risk management, and training, collaborating with Operations, Engineering, EHS and Legal to manage change, audits, and performance metrics; travel about

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in environmental field.
10+ years of progressive environmental compliance experience.
Strong expertise in permitting, regulatory compliance, and EMS.

Responsibilities

Lead environmental compliance programs across manufacturing and mining operations.
Direct and manage permitting activities (air, water, wetlands, land use, etc.).
Serve as primary environmental subject matter expert for regulatory matters.
Monitor legislation and trends; develop compliance strategies.
Ensure all permit requirements, monitoring, reporting and deadlines are met.
Partner with Engineering, Operations and projects on MOC and permitting.
Represent HSM with regulators and industry groups.
Support environmental due diligence for acquisitions/divestitures.
Drive HSMS improvements and internal audits.
Develop and deliver environmental compliance training.
Track, analyze and communicate environmental performance to leadership.
